Clayton Elbel
Intern, Center on Global Food and Agriculture
Clayton Elbel joined the Council as a 2023 spring intern with the Center on Global Food and Agriculture. He is a senior at Texas A&M University studying agricultural economics and public administration. Elbel is passionate about food insecurity and production agriculture and hopes to advocate for farmers and producers in the United States and globally. He has worked for the US Department of State at the US Mission to the UN Food Agencies, advancing American initiatives on hunger, international development, and the rule of law. At school, Elbel helps lead the Farmlink Project, connecting farms with surplus fruits and vegetables to community hunger-relief agencies. Elbel aims to pursue a career at the intersection of agriculture and public policy.
