About Andrea Durkin
Andrea Durkin is a Nonresident Senior Fellow of global food and agriculture at the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, with expertise in the global economy. She is Principal of the trade advisory firm Sparkplug, LLC and the creator of Consensus Learning®, an innovative digital tool for teaching negotiation skills deployed in graduate classrooms, think tank simulations and government training. Andrea previously managed a global government relations team at a Fortune 200 life sciences company after a decade in the U.S. Government as a trade negotiator with the Office of the United States Trade Representative and the International Trade Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce. She has taught International Trade and Investment Policy for the past 16 years as an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University’s Master of Science in Foreign Service program.
