Caroline de Gruyter is a columnist at Foreign Policy and a Europe correspondent and columnist for the Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad.

Bobby Ghosh is a senior editor in the digital weekend team. Previously, he was a columnist at Bloomberg Opinion, where he wrote mostly about international affairs and culture. In a journalism career spanning more than three decades, Ghosh has worked in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and the United States for publications like Time Magazine, the Far Eastern Economic Review, and now Bloomberg. 

Stefan Kornelius has spent over 20 years at Süddeutsche Zeitung. Throughout his career, he has covered Germany's Christian Democratic Party, the chancellorship of Helmut Kohl, and defense issues in Europe. His biography of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, entitled “Angela Merkel, the Chancellor and her World,” has been translated into 13 languages.

Before joining CFR, Carla Anne Robbins was the deputy editorial page editor of The New York Times and chief diplomatic correspondent of the Wall Street Journal. She is also faculty director of the MIA program at Baruch College's Marxe School.
